I was Tagged!!

1. Post the rules on your blog
2. Write 6 random things about yourself
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post
4. If you are tagged, just do it, and pass the tag along!
I was tagged twice in a day so I have a few mins...I hope, that I will write a few things down....
1. I am a Night Owl! Ask John, he get so annyoed because he can plop into bed and fall asleep in seconds! Not me. I have to relax and watch some t.v. Some nights it's a few hours of tv. I dread the morning but Parker (knock on wood) has been sleeping until like 10, so it has been wonderful.:)
2. I love to be creative. I love to look at things and think of how I can change them, add to them or create something new. I'm not always great at it, but I enjoy it. My vinyl!!
3. I eat horribly and would love to change that! I need to lose weight and struggle with that. I guess I just need to kick it into high gear and do something about it. I just go back in forth of do I really want to put a ton of time and effort into and then get pregnant and have to start all over in 9 months or do I just leave it and get really really fat and have more to lose???hmmm (probably more than you wanted to know)
4. I love to fish. Probably would have never known that, huh? John really has never done it but I loved fishing growing up. I have a ton of fond memories doing this activity with my Dad. I cherish them all. I hope to pass some of that of to my kiddos.
5. I hate doing laundry! I know who dosen't? But some of you probably knwo that I am a little OCD about cleaning and re-arranging and neatness. SO you'd think I would have that taken care of but no:( I can't stand doing it. So what happens is that I will wash them all then in like 2 weeks have 10 loads to fold. It's horrible. And yes from those 10 loads you can probably say I liek to shop since we can go a few weeks without needed clean ones. I know, I know.
6. Nothing unusual about this one but I love being with my Family. They are the joys of my life and I am so greatful for them everyday!
I'll pass this on to whom ever has a free moment and can write a few things fun about themselves!

A fun twist to cleaning up leaves~

Holding on

Go Daddy, Go!
Look at those 2 smiling and laughing
Parker of course tried to pull Bella, they didn't get anywhere.

Having fun in the leaves
And more fun...
Sitting on the bag to make the leaves go down
I was in the house and I heard the kids laughing and screaming outside. So I hurried and grabbed my camera because I knew they were having a good time. I came out to find them helpinh John clean up the leaves. But they of course were jumping in them and throwing them everywhere. Which is always so much fun. Well then I see them go over and get on the rake and then John takes them for a ride. They were laughing so hard while trying to hold on. They would fall off, laugh and then run over to him and say "again, again.' They couldn't get enough. Dad got tried really fast. So then they went back to helping pick up leaves. They both are such good little helpers. They loveing helping whenever they can.

Pumpkins!

This year we did the Mr. Potato Head pieces for our pumpkins. Since the kids are a little to young still to understand how to cut and clean them out we decided this was an easier cleaner way to do it. And Bella and Parker love them. Every time Parker walks past the dog he barks at it and says, dog, dog. It's so cute.

Night Parade

Bella just got done crying from some guy in a scary costume!
Sara and her friend from Work
Isaac and Trish our neighbors
Kevin and John

It's already time for the big parades in Anoka. Since we live in the Halloween capital of the world there's always something going on during October. Last night was one of our many traditions. We went to the light up the night parade. I of course went up a few hours early so that we could get a good spot. ( I just set up our chairs and then headed home to get ready)We always have such an enjoyable time. With good company, food and entertainment it's great! The parade went really fast last night though so afterwards we came home and had some yummy treats and Bella shared her goodies with Parker since he stayed home with Grandma. It was just a little to chilly for him since he is under the weather!

What can I say???

We love this time of year and all that is involved with it! No matter how many times we go!

Saturday we went to the Berry Hills Farm in Ramsey with some friends. John was at work so we decided why not. Yes, I know this is our 3rd one but they are so much fun and are all different. I guess that is one more bonus for living in MN. WE have so many fun and beautiful places to visit. Especially in the fall. We love the changing colors and cool crisp air. Oh, it's wonderful. At this one we did a corn maze that the kids loved. Picked out Pumpkins. Parker thought he was super man and could pick anything up. Well, he tried at least. He even tried to get some help but those pumpkins weren't moving. They had tons of animals to looks at and touch and they had a great tractor ride. We had an enjoyable morning.

Sweet Moments

Flash Back~2007
Let me{take you back}to last year around this time for a moment, so Kayleigh and I were out side putting out Halloween decorations with Bella and Parker. Parker was in a baby carrier since he was so little but was still being held so I had 2 hands. Anywho, as we were out there we noticed across the street that my neighbor who I hadn't ever really met who is in a wheel chair was out trying to rake his pine needles up. Well right away of course we went over to see if we could help. He hesitated at first because I had 2 little ones and he was just going to try and do his best, etc. We insisted and eventually started raking. Well as we were chating with him, getting to know him and asking him why he was out here trying to do this? He started to explain that his neighbor was complaining about his pine needles dropping in her yard. I was in aww. How could anyone complain about something so small and simple and especially to someone that can't physically do it? I didn't know what to say or think. So Kayleigh and I spent a few hours over there (with her watching of course) and really had a great time chatting with him and helping him out.
Over the year we have had a few other experiences where we have had to help also when he has been in need. He has fallen out of his wheel chair in the middle of the night and we heard him luckily and a few other small things. Which we are alway so happy to do.....
But to 2008
So on Thursday with it being Mea, I had a few extra kids over for the day. It was a wonderful day out. The sun was shining, it was the perfect temp out etc. So as we ate lunch and I gazed out the window I saw piles of pine needles building up. So the kids and I talked and we decided to go over there and help him out. Before we left I explained to these sweet little kids how we were going over to do a good deed for someone that has no idea who has done it, or why etc. I went on to tell them of his situation and that he would be thrilled to come home and find them all cleaned up. They were so excited and couldn't even wait for me to get out the door!
They raced around seeing who could fill there bag up the fastest. And they couldn't wait to get a new bag out. Their sweet little Spirits filled my heart deeply. At first I didn't know if they really got it or what they thought of it. But as I sat there listening to their conversations I was amazed. They went back and forth with each other commenting on how they were so happy to be helping someone, to be doing it without him knowing, to be doing a good deed, to help someone that couldn't walk etc.
They never once complained,
they kept encouraging one another.
They did it with happy hearts and minds.
Just like Our Father in Heaven would do.
That day I can say I was truly touched by three little 5 and 6 year olds.
It made me think of Christ and how we are blessed daily by him. Through his teachings, the Gospel, his example, through Great Family and Friends that help us and listen to us when we need them. They help us through good times and bad times. They lift us up and help us grow. How we are here to bear one anothers burdens and how we can do so many simple things in life to build one another up. Or to help carry someones load.
That evening as I was taking out the trash he came out and said "did you rake my pine needles :)?" I put my hands up and said "no". He said well can you tell that little birdy that came by how Thankful I am and how I can never say thanks enough!

Every Night Around 6:00...

Bella falls asleep sitting up. She has decided lately that naps were not her thing, unless I lay down with her. Which is great for me some days because I am all for it. But not so much others. Well, as the day goes on she fights it more and more. Then all of a sudden you will find her falling asleep where ever she is. Today she was sitting up on the couch and she kept tipping over and then she's catch herself and then say "what, what,?" And then dose off again. Yesterday she was coloring downstairs on her table and a few weeks back she was trying to eat dinner. It's pretty funny. So today I was able to capture it right as it was starting. Oh, how I wish the naps were still everyday.

Time for Change~

Parker and I got new hair styles! I have needed mine done forever so I finally made time to get it done. I went darker for the winter and got it stacked in the back. I love it. Some of you may not really knwo the difference because I am the one usually taking pictures. Parker's is so cute! He looks so big now. All the big curls are gone but there is some still so I am sure they will be back. He sat perfectly though. Thanks Julie!
