Bella's Ear Tubes are in...

Bella with her new Monkey at the Hospital
Parker's Truck Jammies...they are so soft and CUTE!!
Bella's New Tinker Bell Jammies
So we have survived the day! And we are glad it's almost over!! Bella had to be at the hospital at 7:30 this morning, it wasn't to early. She had no idea what was going on so that was good. She let the doctors so proudly take her temp, hear her heart beat, etc. She even sang the one nurse a song. So we were sitting pretty good. But when I went to sign Bella into another area, dad some how missed the memo on NO DRINKS OR FOOD!! So I turned around to find them coming back from getting some water. I panicked and was like did you miss that along the way?? He had no clue. So of course I was worried that they wouldn't do it so we had to wait of course to talk to the doctors. But he ended up being okay and they did it any way!
Thank goodness.
As soon as we were heading back to the prep area they let Bella pick out a stuffed animal so she picked this cute little monkey. It's so soft and cuddly she loves it! She was pretty excited to be getting all this attention and people waiting on her etc. It was really nice to have such a great staff. Everything went great with the surgery. Poor thing had 2 horrible ear infections though, so she has a lot of puss and drainage. So we are hoping that it will drain fast. After her surgery and through out the day today she has cried a lot, been tired, and has had good and bad moments. We think tomorrow will be a lot better for her.
We just want to THANK EVERYONE for the prayers, and for all of her fun little gifts that she has received. She has felt very loved today and has said it more than once. We all have appreciated the phone calls and visits too! It has meant a lot to us to know that she is so loved and that she is cared for. She got new jammies, color boards, movies, paints and more! Parker even scored himself a new pair of Turck jammies and a book.
Thanks guys! He feels pretty speacial too!

I'm so glad everything went well! Dallas had tubes when he was about 18 months, and it helped so much. Hopefully Bella's ears will stop hurting so much! The thing that amazed me the most was how much it helped Dallas's speech almost immediately. When I mentioned it to the doctor, he looked at me like "duh, lady, he hasn't been able to hear anything! How can you expect him to talk if he can't hear?" Oh, yeah. Silly me! :)

We were thinking about Bella all day yesterday, hoping she would start having some relief from the pressure in her little ears! We are glad to hear that everything went well. We hope it means more nights of better sleep for everyone, right, MoM and DaD?

I am sorry she had to go through it but it will sure improve things. We did 2 boys in one day and it can only get better! My 4 yr old still has the tubes in that he got at 10 months. I will keep her in my prayers. Those infections should clear up fast. Good Luck!
