Some Days...

Some days I just feel like my kids don't have a fighting chance. It seems like if it's not one thing it's the next. While we were out in AZ we put sun block on Parker for the first time and he had a major allergic reaction to it and his eyes swelled up, and he broke out in hives etc. Luckily we had benadryl with us so it helped right away! So we had to find a hyper-allergenic one that works for him so he can be in the sun. Then since he was born Parker has had problems with his breathing here in there and it gets really bad in AZ. So come to find out he has asthma that comes and goes. So we went yesterday and got this cute Penguine Nebulizer (at least it's cute and has a cute carrying case). He also has an inhaler and tube etc. Just crazy but I am thankful for modern medicine so that he can breath easier!
Then there is Bella, we found out she is allergic to Musquito Bites. She got bite on Monday near her eye and it swelled up so bad that she could barely see out of it. They say it looks worse than it is so we just left it alone. But she had other ones on her body too and they did the same thing. It seems never ending some days.
So from now on when you see me and I have a big ol' bag of stuff, you'll know why. I just have to get better at always having it "ALL" with me! I can't complain though things could be a lot worse and I have simple things that I can help prevent all this from happening so I am grateful for that. You just don't know what each day will bring?

We are glad to hear that everything is ok. Crazy how much we do as mothers and carry around with us and now you even have more to carry. Be careful with your back.

Sorry about the asthma diagnosis...that totally bites. Liam has asthma and it comes and goes...mostly comes when he has a cold, which lasts forever because of the asthma!! He was diagnosed at 3 months old, so we have had many adventures with that...about 5 ER visits, a nebulizer, steroids, and inhailers...lucklily, we haven't had any problems in the past few months, but I am totally jealous of that nebulizer...we have a boring ugly one. Liam would like that pengiun SOOO much better. It would at least make the whole mask experience more enjoyable if it looked like a toy!!

Anyway, I was wondering where you all live in Minnesota? I am actually in Minnesota until July 1st or something like that. My husband is here on a business trip! But we are really far from Minneapolis...like 3 hours or something. We are near Virginia minnesota in a town I don't know how to spell!!

Poor kiddos! I'm with you, though. Thank heaven for modern medicine! Our nebulizer is so boring compared to the penguin one! So cute! Have you seen those individual servings of Benedryl packets? That might be easier than a bottle of it to pack around. Dylan's allergic to peanuts, so we always had some of the pink stuff with us when he was littler. Good luck!
